Homework Help: Magnetic force help ?

    magnetic force help ???

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    Two charged particles move in the same direction with respect to the same magnetic field. Particle 1 travels eight times faster than particle 2. However, each particle experiences a magnetic force of the same magnitude. Find the ratio q1/q2 of the magnitudes of the charges.

    2. Relevant equations
    B=F/qVsin(theta)

    3. The attempt at a solution
    BqVsin(theta)=BqVsin(theta)
    and then B and sin(theta) cancel but i dont know where to go from here??

    Re: magnetic force help ???

    [tex]F=BQVsin\theta[/tex]

    For the first charge,Q1.

    [tex]F=BQ_1V_1 sin\theta[/tex]

    For the 2nd charge,Q2

    [tex]F=BQ_2V_2 sin\theta[/tex]

    what is the relation between V1 and V2?
