Majoring in Applied Mathematics

  1. Dec 24, 2011 #1
    Hi,

I just have a few questions on what applied math majors do. As an applied math major, can you work as an engineer if your area of application is in an engineering field? Here is the school I'm going to be going to soon (I want to finish my 3 semesters of calc at a CC due to financial reasons)

In the undergraduate math program you have an applied option. Does this make me able to find jobs in engineering if I pick their MSE area of application?

    Thanks,

    Selig
