(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

I made x the subject and i want to make sure i did it correctly

x^{-b}(x^{2}-1)^{b/2}= a

2. Relevant equations

3. The attempt at a solution

power both sides by -1/b

x(x^{2}-1)^{-1/2}= (a)^{-1/b}

(1-x^{-2})^{-1/2}= a^{-1/b}

x^{-2}= 1-a^{2/b}

x = [1-a^{2/b}]^{-1/2}

thank you
