Maximum power transfer

  1. Oct 23, 2013 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    Find the required value of the load to acheive maximum power transfer for Z = 12+24 ohms

    2. Relevant equations

    ZL = Zs

    3. The attempt at a solution[/b

    As the question does not state whether or not the phase or magnitude of the load can or cannot be varied. I believe the answer to be ZL= 12-24 ie the complex conjugate.
    Does this seem correct?
