    Hi everyone,

Thought I'd be polite and introduce myself. I studied physics at university, but that was a long time ago and much has been forgotten.

I actually joined this forum to ask a specific question, which I plan to post a bit later. I've had a quick look at the guidelines and I don't think it's inappropriate since it doesn't concern any discredited theories (to my knowledge) and shouldn't count as a pet theory. It does (sort of) refer to the multiverse theory, but that should be OK, no?

It will probably become a discredited theory soon after I post it, but that's how you learn!

    PN

Sure. I'll take no offence whatsoever if you think that this isn't the right place to ask the question. I understand that you guys have house rules to keep.
