Mechanics in the body assignment question

    Can anyone help me breakdown and start to answer this horrific question? Any help would greatfully received!

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    From the figure below, calculate the tensile force E, of the muscles and the compressive force on the lumbosacral disc, S when the body is bent at an angle of 70 degrees and lifting an object of weight 300N. The figure shows the forces involved, with the load acting at the top of the trunk in line with the shoulder joint (the distance L from the pivot). There are now four forces acting and so S acts at a small angle to the axis of the column. There is compressive component Sc and a shear component Sp.

    To work out the compressive force on lumbosccral disc, use the triangle shown below. Sp is parallel to E sin 10 degrees.
