Mechanics problem

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    A machine gun is mounted in a car resting on a frictionless horizonta surface.The mass of the car+gun system is M at a particular instant.At the same instant the gun is firing bullets of mass m,n per unit time.u and v are the velocity of bullet and car w.r.t. the floor.Find the accleleration of the car.

    2. Relevant equations

    M(dv/dt)=F-w(dm/dt) where w is the relative velocity

    3. The attempt at a solution

    I got the following answer:Please check if I am correct
    (dv/dt)=-mn(u-v)/M
