would anyone have links why metals generally exist as ores in the earths crust, and not as pure metals? I've googled it, nothing popped up. I've checked my textbook, nothing. Why do they ask questions you can't answer.

Thanks guys for all your help

I would guess their tendency to react with other elements would play a role.

thats actually good idea, because they could be rather reactive thus unable to say as its original state.
