What are the Diseases involving MHC peptides ???
Where can i find about peptide vaccines ???
MHC are Major Histocompatibility Complex. This peptides are used to differentiated between self and non-self. Because MHC are part of the immune system, the disease associate with it are usualy auto-immune disease. The Sanger institute has a nice list of MHC-linked diseases. More info on MHC and Diseases
For peptide vaccine there some review if you can get access to papers
Lipopeptide vaccines--yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Antigenicity and immunogenicity of synthetic peptides.
I want specifically for Class 1(confirmed) and it should involve antigen presentation.
MHC class I antigen processing pathway defects, ras mutations and disease stage in colorectal carcinoma.
I have decided to work on Melanoma.
Tell me how can i design a peptide vaccine "insilico" for this ???
First you would have to identify surface protein(s) or component that is/are unique to Melanoma and present on many different individuals. After you just test the "antigenicity" of each component.
You should check to following paper
From genome to vaccine: in silico predictions, ex vivo verification.
How do you always find all these papers??
I use PubMed or Google with the right combination of words. For example I use these terms "In silico" vaccine design in pubmed for the last paper. Finding the right paper is always a matter of choosing the proper term with the search engine.
the use of quotation marks can be very usefull, google also supports the search of certain filetypes, for instance.. filetype:pdf, or site:.edu, or site:physicsforums.com
Separate names with a comma.
