Microzonation vs Macrozonation

  1. Apr 11, 2017 #1
Hey guys, I'm very interested on seismic-related subject, particularly the subject on the title, I've searched all over the internet, but there are many on microzonation but limited information on macrozonation. My question is, what is the difference between the two?

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    David Lee

Microzonation is the process of evaluating a localized zone within a large region for factors particular to that local area that differ from factors assigned to the larger surrounding region as a whole.

"Macrozonation" is the evaluation of a series of small regions in order to identify common factors that exist for all those regions.
