Homework Help: Motion diagrams

  1. Sep 10, 2006 #1
I keep getting the wrong answers on a few problems I am working on. Could anybody tell me how do get the answers from these motion graphs please? Thank you! (They are attached)

The question is as follows for motion_diagram1.jpg

The figure below shows 3 motion diagrams A, B, and C. The time intervals are the same in all 3 cases, and the objects move from right to left. You have to rank the 3 cases in decreasing order of the velocities. Which ranking is correct?

    a. A > B > C
    b. A > C > B
    c. B > C > A
    d. C > B > A
    e. C > A > B

The figure below shows 3 motion diagrams A, B, and C. The time intervals are the same in all 3 cases, and the objects move from right to left. What is the value of the ratio VC/VA where VA is the velocity of object A and VC is the velocity of object C?

    a. 4
    b. 2
    c. 1
    d. 0.5
    e. 0.25

You may rather want to post a link to the diagrams.
