Multiway switching

  1. Dec 20, 2009 #1
    Hi everybody,

I was wondering, is it possible to create a multiway switching circuit with 3 switches, and all of them being standard 3-way ones ? (in other words: is it really necessary to use a 4-way switch instead ?)

    thanks in advance!

Controlling a light with 3 seperate switches like in a hallway requires one four-way switch and 2 three-way switches. You cannot cheat here.
