Main Question or Discussion Point

Inspired by cyrus' thread, here are some of my abominations of art:

http://usera.imagecave.com/polkijuhzu322/pic01.jpg
(This one is really terrible, plus the loss of quality due to jpeg. No comment.)

http://usera.imagecave.com/polkijuhzu322/pic03.jpg
(The last two ones are slightly better.)

Radou, those are quite good.

The first reminds me of the self portrait of van Gogh.

Thanks.

Well, actually, the first one was supposed to be a self portrait of van Gogh.

To complete my disgrace, http://blogs.princeton.edu/wri152-3/f05/jasonwu/sh87.jpg" [Broken] a link to the original painting. Of course, a colorless representation of a van Gogh painting is by itself absurd. It was meant for practice only.

You have a very interesting style and certainly capture the figures well. I don't think that attaining realism is necessarily important in art or pencil drawings and you can go for your own thing. Your style reminds me of a particular artist but I can't put my finger on who it is. I'll have a think about it.

That link isn't working for me. Is this the one?

Oh, and that girl in the second drawing has a nice butt. The last one, is she crying?
Nope, it's another one. I fixed the link, should work just fine now.

I don't know if she's crying or not, since her face isn't revealed. But as her posture suggests, she might be mourning.

They must be kidding. One can recognize it at first sight. :approve:

I'm serious.

Is it because of van Gogh or because of my drawing? :tongue2:

My friend and I were trying to draw today in class. We found a picture of George Bush on the computer and turned it in with our lab report. Aahahah. He drew it really well.

You should have drawn a nude female of any kind. Would be far more interesting for the person you handed the lab report to.
