In summary, the author believes that love is something that is difficult to define, but that it is something that is important. He feels that it is something that two people should have in common, and that it should be mutual. He also feels that love should be respected, and that there are often quandarys and odd situations that can arise due to the nature of love.

How many of you people out there
Been hurt in some kind of love affair
And how many times do you swear that you'll never love again?

How many lonely, sleepless nights
How many lies, how many fights
And why would you want to put yourself through all that again?

"Love is pain," I hear you say
Love has a cruel and bitter way
Of paying you back for all the faith you ever had in your brain

How could it be that what you need the most
Can leave you feeling just like a ghost?
You never want to feel so sad and lost again

One day you could be looking
Through an old book in rainy weather
You see a picture of her smiling at you
When you were still together
You could be walking down the street
And who should you chance to meet
But that same old smile that you've been thinking of all day

You can turn the clock to zero, honey
I'll sell the stock, we'll spend all the money
We're starting up a brand new day

Turn the clock all the way back
I wonder if she'll take me back
I'm thinking in a brand new way

Turn the clock to zero, sister
You'll never know how much I missed her
Starting up a brand new day

Turn the clock to zero, boss
The river's wide, we'll swim across it
Started up a brand new day

It could happen to you - just like it happened to me
There's simply no immunity - there's no guarantee
I say love's such a force - if you find yourself in it
And sometimes no reflection is there

Baby wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute

Turn the clock to zero, honey
I'll sell the stock, we'll spend all the money
We're starting up a brand new day

Turn the clock to zero, Mac
I'm begging her to take me back
I'm thinking in a brand new way

Turn the clock to zero, boss
The river's wide, we'll swim across it
Started up a brand new day

Turn the clock to zero buddy
Don't want to be no fuddy duddy
Started up a brand new day

I'm the rhythm in your tune
I'm the sun and you're the moon
I'm a bat and you're the cave
You're the beach and I'm the wave
I’m the plow and you’re the land
You're the glove and I'm the hand
I'm the train and you're the station
I'm a flagpole to your nation - yeah

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
Starting up a brand new day

I'm the present to your future
You're the wound and I’m the suture
You're the magnet to my pole
I'm the devil in your soul
You're the pupil I'm the teacher
You're the church and I'm the preacher
You're the flower I'm the rain
You're the tunnel I'm the train

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
Starting up a brand new day

You're the crop to my rotation
You're the sum of my equation
I'm the answer to your question
If you follow my suggestion
We can turn this ship around
We'll go up instead of down
You're the pan and I'm the handle
You're the flame and I'm the candle

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
We're starting up a brand new day
The best time to say "hmm..."

Not a rival... just a fiendishly clever sniper. This was just a matter of burning the crops so he couldn't steal the grain.

For me, love seems to be rather elusive, but I hope to someday find it.
Hmmmm.. I wonder why
I am basing everything off of theoretical knowledge of the concept, so if I go astray somewhere please correct me.

3. love
A terrible, horrible infectious disease of the mind, that is falsely portrayed as wonderful by most ignorant individuals. It weakens one, allowing them to be easily manipulated, and eventually leads to nothing but pain and suffering.

When a woman signs the divorce papers, and in relationships they usually initiate the divorce 90% of the time. It's not because she loves him.
It's always the opposite.

Ah, I was relaying personal experience. The particular case I described happened in my family, and while rare, the man did initiate the divorce. The woman knew that it wouldn't work out, and that it would hurt even more to cling to him if he wanted to leave her. Hence her last act of love was leaving him... a little paradoxical.

But I'm telling you,it's quite a big disaster when someone falls in love with you whom you don't like at all esp. if the person would be so nice and respectful!I myself think I'm a criminal because of not loving him.You know you always think maybe he's the right person and you're making a terrible mistake by rejecting his love!

That sounds more like lust than love, since love (for most people's definitions) tends to be mutual. If the guy you are speaking of is nice and respectful (i.e. not trying to hound you or anything) you may want to give him a chance before rejecting him outright; that is unless you already know this person already and know for sure that you cannot get along with him.

I think we should stop using these pre-emptive strikes against Danger's little witticisms. If we carry on too much, he won't ever have anything to post.

On second thoughts, maybe we should carry on...

It's okay in this case; that would have been a rerun.

You're right.but you know sometimes you know someone and you know he's so nice and for sure you can get along well with him but maybe he's so different from your imaginary gf/bf  or you think you don't have the same goals in you lives or you can't get your goals by accepting him.Sometimes you know evrything is ok but because you met another nice guy before him and since you love that guy,for sure you can't satisfy yourself to accept another one's love.
but you know there are some cases, you meet the person for the first time and you even don't talk to hm but he claims "I love you...".it's ok if you like some people in the first meeting and then because you feel you can be happy with her/him,you try to get know her/him better but it's really strange when you want to start a relationship or perhaps marry her/him right the second you meet that person.I think this means these kind of people're just attracted by another person's appearance and internal beauty and personality isn't important at all. It's lust not love!
