Discovery News picked this up, it's awesome how Viral it got.

Love the part about the descent back through the atmosphere.

-"What was going through your mind as you were coming back to earth?"
-Ron : "I hope the heat shield and parachutes work"
-"Huh, I was expecting something more like "I was looking forward to seeing my family again" but yeah, that would logically be going through my mind to. Was it a bumpy ride back?"
-Ron :"it was like going over Niagara Falls in a barrel (that's on fire) followed by a high speed crash"And about Mars which sparked a dino-debate.

-"Would you be willing to accept the enormous risks to travel to Mars? "
-Ron :"Yes for the same reason I accept the risk of flying to the ISS - because it is important for our future (if the dinosaurs had a space program they'd still be here)"

1. What inspired you to become an astronaut?

As a child, I was always fascinated by space and the unknown. I loved watching documentaries about the universe and reading science fiction books. Eventually, I realized that becoming an astronaut would allow me to explore and discover the wonders of space.

2. What is the most challenging aspect of being an astronaut?

The most challenging aspect of being an astronaut is the intense training and preparation required for space missions. We have to be physically and mentally fit, as well as highly skilled in various areas such as engineering, science, and spaceflight operations. Additionally, being away from our families and loved ones for extended periods of time can also be challenging.

3. Can you describe a typical day in space?

A typical day in space is very structured and involves a lot of work. We usually wake up early, have breakfast, and then begin our daily tasks which can include conducting experiments, maintaining the spacecraft, and performing spacewalks. We also have scheduled breaks for exercise, meals, and relaxation. In the evening, we wind down by checking emails from Earth, doing some personal activities, and then going to bed.

4. What is the most memorable experience you've had in space?

It's difficult to choose one single memorable experience because every moment in space is unforgettable. However, one of the most amazing moments for me was when I saw the Earth from space for the first time. The beauty and fragility of our planet was truly awe-inspiring.

5. How do you cope with the physical and mental challenges of space travel?

We undergo extensive training to prepare for the physical challenges of space travel, such as zero gravity and the effects of radiation. As for mental challenges, we have a support system on board, including our crewmates and ground control, to help us cope with any difficulties. We also have activities and hobbies to keep us mentally stimulated and maintain a positive mindset.
