Need advice on statistical mechanics.

  1. Nov 3, 2009 #1
The fall semester is coming to an end and finals are coming up soon. I took thermal and statistical mechanics this semester. I think I got the thermal part but I'm completely lost regarding the stats. My classmates said that the final questions will be picked from a pool of 50. So as long as I memories them all I'll be set. Here's the problem. I have a bad memory, that's why I took physics. I NEED to learn the material. Are there any good self help books that anyone here recommend? I checked, I don't think there's one from the demystified series. Please help me find one. I want something that is very elementary and with lots of explanation. It will be nice to see some worked examples or detailed worked problem.
