Need Help Distuingishing Ideal DC Motor

  1. Nov 19, 2007 #1
I am going to be utilizing DC motors capable of performing at a variety of speeds while outputting a relatively decent amount of torque (between 20 and 40 mNm). I had originally chosen Maxon motors for the design (32mm) but then found similar motors on Anaheim Automation at a much much lower price. I am having trouble seeing the main differences in the two motors but the prices are so much different I know I am missing something.

Does anyone know what the big difference is? Is it simply in the overall quality of the motor?

The motor at maxon i was looking at was at http://www.maxonmotor.com/A-max.asp
And for Anaheim it is http://www.anaheimautomation.com/Brush_DC_Motor.aspx

Any help would be greatly appreciated
