Hi there everyone, I'm a newbie here. I'm trying to model a contact region between poly-si and Si. I try to follow the cell phone screen example in COMSOL. However, the simulator always fail to converge during 1 iteration and I'm stuck in a middle of nowhere. As I don't have a mechanical engineering background nor the physics, I wish someone here could help me out. the poly-Si membrane is 1.5 um thick the cavity between Poly-Si and Si is also 1.5 um. I've turn on the assembly options and leave an initial gap of 0.5um between poly-Si/Si interface to define contact pairs. My model is almost identical to the example apart from the size and apply load which i need to use distributed load, also there's only 2 layers in my model and I use automatic mesher.
