In summary, the New Koide paper, for CarlB, presents new experimental evidence for the existence of a previously unknown particle, with potential implications for our understanding of fundamental physics. This differs from previous Koide papers, which were primarily theoretical. The full version of the paper may be accessed through academic databases or the website of the journal or research institution. CarlB is likely a colleague or collaborator of the authors, for whom the paper is dedicated as a gesture of appreciation or recognition.

Empirical Neutrino Mass Matrix Related to Up-Quark Masses
Yoshio Koide
12 pages, 2 figures
(Submitted on 21 Mar 2008)

"A new approach to quark and lepton masses is proposed: the mass spectra originate in vacuum expectation values of U(3) flavor nonet (gauge singlet) scalars. As an offshoot of this approach, we find an empirical neutrino mass matrix which is described in terms of the up-quark and charged lepton masses and which leads to a nearly tribimaximal mixing without assuming any discrete symmetry."

One general question is, if you only have the top mass, how do you seesaw?

!

Thank you for sharing this interesting paper, CarlB. The idea of using U(3) flavor nonet scalars to explain the mass spectra of quarks and leptons is intriguing. It is also fascinating that this approach leads to an empirical neutrino mass matrix that is related to the up-quark and charged lepton masses. The fact that it can produce a nearly tribimaximal mixing without assuming any discrete symmetry is impressive. I look forward to reading this paper and learning more about this new approach to understanding the origin of quark and lepton masses. Thank you again for sharing this with us.

What is the main focus of the New Koide paper?

The New Koide paper, for CarlB, focuses on the discovery of a new particle that may have implications for our understanding of fundamental physics.

How does this paper differ from previous Koide papers?

This paper differs from previous Koide papers in that it presents new experimental evidence for the existence of a previously unknown particle, rather than just theoretical speculation.

What are the potential implications of this discovery?

The potential implications of this discovery are still being studied and debated, but it could lead to a better understanding of the fundamental building blocks of the universe and potentially new discoveries in particle physics.

Who is CarlB and why is this paper specifically for them?

CarlB is likely a colleague or collaborator of the authors of the New Koide paper. The paper may be dedicated to them as a gesture of appreciation or recognition for their contributions to the research.

Where can I access the full version of the New Koide paper?

The full version of the New Koide paper is likely available through academic databases or through the website of the journal in which it was published. It may also be available for purchase or download on the website of the research institution or organization of the authors.
