Please vote for your 3 favorite "new" members. The one who has made the most positive impact. Members registered within the past 14 months were eligible. All those nominated should feel honored for being recognized. Active Mentors are not eligible. Comments and write-ins are welcome (tag with @)

At least you're on the list. All I got my first year here was a second-hand gift basket with a half eaten muffin. It had raisins in it.

(Actually I think I was on the list back then.)

@fresh_42 apparently just missed the 14 month cut-off in this category, but I think he was one of the outstanding performers of 2016. editing... His "likes" to messages ratio is really unsurpassed by anyone except those who respond to many philosophical and political discussions. Some kind of award for him is clearly in order.

@fresh_42 was nominated last year, and is nominated for homework help, humor, community spirit, physics and mathematics this year.

The cut off is an unfortunate necessity for some. Fortunately for @fresh_42 he's got a few other nominations here.

It's still early in the voting, but it does appear the Mathematics category (his strongest suit) and the Physics category have a person or two ahead of him. Probably too late to make any changes, but I think he would be deserving of an award (or nomination) for category of outstanding performance for "likes" to messages ratio.

I think personal messages mean more than an award. Send him a message with your thoughts.

Just keep in mind that the ratio alone can be misleading: Posts in the PF lounge (general discussion, science fiction, feedback and new member introductions, including all subforums) don't count for the post counter, but likes given there do count. You can have 0 posts and 1000 likes if you post exclusively in the lounge.

Well, that has to be renormalized. There must be some diverging integral somewhere in the calcultion ;-)).

My vote would be for @BillTre. I've learned quite a bit from his posts in the Biology forum. I am already voting for him as one of my choices for the Other Sciences award, but since he also qualifies as a Newcomer, I though I'd mention him here as well.

Yes, @BillTre was accidently overlooked for the newcomer award. A shame.

True, but we can't send any of the real ones through the internet. Yet...
