Homework Help: Newton law of motion

  1. May 1, 2010 #1
A 4kg block rests on a table. 5N is applied to it, pulling it the right, giving it an acceleration of 1ms^-2.
( a)If the applied force acts on the block for 5s, what will be the speed of the block at the end of this 5s be?
(b)After 5s, the applied force is removed. What will be the new acceleration of the block?
(c)How far has the block moved for the whole motion?
