Numerically calculated Density of States, Now What

  1. Aug 3, 2011 #1

For a project I'm doing, I can construct Hamiltonians for various types of lattices and include various types of impurities. However, currently all I'm really able to do is to plot eigenvalues to construct density of states and display array plots of the eigenvectors to show the modes on this lattice.

I'm primarily (currently) doing numerical work with mathematica. I'm wondering if people have advice about ways to go beyond these calculations. A brief outline of any suggestions would help.

    Thanks a lot,
