Offer your opinions and stuff really quickly please for my job application

In summary: I think I'll go for Photo/Electronic Clerk. It's a fun job and I'd get to see a lot of people's drunken vacation photos. :)In summary, the applicant is new to working and doesn't know which positions to apply for. They provide a list of job positions and explain why they picked each one. They add that they are not interested in any of the positions and want to focus on getting a job that will help them overcome their introversion.

I've never had a job before and I'm applying to Fred Meyer online; problem is, I don't know which positions I should apply for, so here's a list:

Apparrel/Shoe clerk
Bakery Clerk
Cashier
Coffee Barista
Courtesy Clerk
Deli Clerk
Food/produce Clerk
Grocery Clerk
Health/Beauty Aid Clerk
Home/Garden Clerk
Loss Prevention Specialist
Management Trainee
Nutrition Clerk
Pharmacy
Photo/Electronic Clerk
Seasonal Help (Oct-Jan only)

Please keep in mind that I'm introverted and physically frail (I can't stand for long periods of time, etc., walking around would be preferable to standing). Also offer a reason or two for your choice. I can pick one primary to apply to, and one secondary.

Nutrition Clerk because you are physically frail. I assume you're young since you're new to working. Unless there is absolutely nothing you can do about your frailty, if I were you I would without doubt make it my mission in life to overcome my frailty by good nutrition, exercise, health, fitness and put those goal higher than anything else in my life except family.

apparel clerk=lots of free time
idk what the other thing i'll pick will be

idk what a 'nutrition clerk' is...:/

Since your new to working, i'll translate, it means a loooooong day. The busier you are the shorter the day will seem.

It may depend more on what openings the company has and their impression of you after the interview than on what you want. They will probably ask you want you want and what you want to be doing 5 years from now anyway.

If you want to get over your introversion and want a future, go for the management training. If you can't overcome your introversion, it wouldn't be a good choice.

I chose photo/electronic clerk, and apparel clerk

working in the electronics section would be easy, I'd have lots and lots of free time to think

apparel would be duller but at least it isn't cashiering

Yeah, but older women might have a problem with a tall androgynous person working that section. Just like how applying for a barista position wouldn't work out. :(

Well, I certainly hope it works out. It's a mile walk from where I live; I'd rather not have to get some sort of job 2+ miles away. -_-

I mean, if I can get 30+ hours a week, I should be looking into jobs within Seattle, honestly, since the transit center is 0.8 miles away.

My thread about Python was serious, I have no intention on working these sorts of jobs for long. >_<

I would go for Coffee Barista. It will help you get over your introversion but you don't have to spend too much time with customers. Just a quick question and maybe a friendly comment.

Apparel clerk might be best as long as it allows you to walk around folding and straightening. Photo/electronic clerk would allow you to learn something, which you should enjoy.

I do not know anything about those jobs.

I had newspaper delivery job as one of my first jobs. It paid like 2 or 5 cents for every newspaper I deliver.
1. You walk
2. Not long hours
But you do not earn a lot.

I know many people who took some gardening jobs. I believe it also involves walking.

Other than that, developing people skills can be extremely beneficial later in the life. Cashier, Coffee Barista, Loss Prevention Specialist sound like interacting with people.

Not necessarily. If you smile and appear nonthreatening, androgyny won't be a huge issue.

Women are pretty rude to me in general. They see my feminine mannerisms and think I'm gay because I'm tall, so I can't pass. -_-

It's funny but when I go to my favorite make up counter, I always wait for the guy who works there to help me. The women seem arrogant and snooty, but the guy is very cool and fun. He's very feminine, artistic, and really knowledgeable about cosmetics.

I'm just reading CS stuff right now. :/ I'm a big believer in focusing on prerequisites and fundamentals. o_O I was trying to discuss it more, but you closed the thread. x_x

I think you should start a thread just about learning CS and programming, but try to not brag about how smart you are in the thread. That just annoys people, and it accomplishes nothing. (I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm just telling you the truth.)

I think we would all enjoy hearing about what you are learning, and there are a lot of people who can give you advice.
