What's your philosophy on learning?

I have found that learning takes a lot of time and energy especially when reading from textbooks that are hard to follow or listening to professor's that like to plow through pages of powerpoints. All I have to say is thank God for the internet. There are so many other materials out there from which to learn but I somehow feel guilty when using them as it kind of seems watered down, not in terms of quality or content, but in the presentation of the concept. The concept seems so much easier than the textbook is suggesting.

Everyone learns a little differently. I for one learn best when I have a teacher there, as I find it almost impossible to teach myself something.
