I posted this in Introductory Physics but not sure if that was right so I have posted here as well hope that's ok. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data To run a one dimensional transducer modelling program and analyse the data. The attempt at a solution I have ran the modelling program for different scenarios, first the transducer itself, then with a layer of water on one side, then with a matching layer between the transducer and the water, the finally with a backing layer on the other side. I have plotted graphs of impedance against frequency and phase change for the first step(transducer itself). Its plotted logarithmically for the impedance for an easier to look at line. It starts high then troughs then peaks and continues decreasing in magnitude until it becomes a decreasing straight line. I believe the troughs are electrical resonance frequencies and the peaks anti resonance or vice versa but I am not sure what to take from this though or how to describe it. I have looked for online resources and cant find any as I believe it's either too specific or I am looking in the wrong places but any help or point in the right direction for this first graph would be appreciated and then I should be able to confidently work through the rest of the four steps and finish my essay.
