Hello, I am currently doing a master's degree in theoretical physics and trying to decide in which area I would like to do my PhD. Could you tell me your opinions in the opportunities in Quantum information science, quantum computing, etc... compared to theoretical particle physics and general relativity/cosmology? It seems to me that the actual situation of theoretical particle physics is not very good, and there are far more people trying to secure a permanent position than there are permanent positions in the field. Is it somehow better in the area of quantum information? Thanks.
