    Opportunity for Math PhD

    Prof. Dénes Petz (http://www.math.bme.hu/~petz/) is looking for a Ph.D. student.

    Mûegyetem rakpart 3-9, H-1111Budapest, Hungary

    Please, contact him if you are interested in working on one of the following subjects:

    • Random matrix theory, in particular eigenvalue density problems
    • Free probability
    • Quantum information theory
    • Mathematical foundations of quantum mechanics
    • Linear analysis
    • Matrix and trace inequalities
    • Quantum entropy
    • Algebra of the canonical commutation relation

    Ph. D. students and postdocs are welcome.

    Sounds like an interesting opportunity.
