PCI Express

    PCI-E is going to be a disaster. The whole point was to do away with legacy ports, yet theres going to be specialized versions for different kinds of cards.

    PCI-E doesn't provide 'specialized versions for different kinds of cards', only slots providing different amounts of bandwidth (1X -16X) by differing the number of 'lanes' (serial connections).

    Did I miss a memo or something?

    Everything needs to be like USB or Firewire. Just plug it in and go. I hate IRQ problems.
