Permanent Magnet Force Calculation using COMSOL

  1. Jun 6, 2008 #1
    Hello everyone,
I am having some trouble in understanding the COMSOL Software. I am having some trouble in calculating the force of a permanent magnet on the ferromagetic ball using the COMSOL software. I had done the model in 2d Axial symmetry module and compared the force values produced by the comsol to my experimental force values. But the values produced by comsol are 3 times more than the experimental values. For example if the experimental force value is 0.05 pounds force, the comsol is producing 0.17 pounds force. I am not sure why this missmatch is occuring. If any one have any idea on this kindly reply me.

    Thanks and Regards,
