    What's New Pussycat?

In honor of Evo's cat Sherman, this photo contest is all about our feline friends. Your picture must have at least a cat as the main subject, and this can be cat/s ranging from the cuddly, domestic pets to the king of the jungle.

    Contest Rules:

    1. Any digital photo or digitally-scanned photo relevant to the theme will be accepted within the contest period. In case there's a grey area, or you're not sure if the picture is suitable, check with me first.

    2. Please resize your digital photo to no more than 650 x 490 pixels. You may also crop your picture if you wish. But other than that, any form of picture editing or modification is not allowed. This is a photo contest, not a picture editing/special effect contest. You may add a watermark or your name/nickname to the photo for identification purposes.

    3. Upload your photos to any of the photo servers such as imageshack. Then post it the relevant contest thread and link your picture using the img command. PM me if you do not know how.

    4. Only ONE picture per member per contest.

    5. At the end of the contest period, I will open a poll and every PF member can vote for the picture they like best.

    6. Note that in case we have a large number of entries, I will do the polling in more than one thread. If that's the case, you can vote in each of the polling threads. The photos will be assigned in the the polling threads in the order they were submitted.

    7. These pictures must be something that you took, not something taken off someone else's photo albums or taken by someone else. I have no way of checking if you did this, so we'll go by the honor system.

    8. You can use a picture only once. Once it is used in a contest, it cannot be reused in another contest.

    9. Please post only pictures meant for submission in this thread.

    Zz.

That's not you in the picture, is it Jeff? Also, haven't we seen this picture before? Or was it one of those that you posted in addition to the picture you submitted?

But I don't know where the kittens are yet!!! The mommy cat on the farm is hanging around us where the food is, but I haven't seen where she's coming from or going to (she just magically appears at the door when I'm there, and hangs around until I leave, and has so far kept the kittens in an undisclosed location). How can I get cute kitty pictures if I don't know where the kittens are hiding? :grumpy: Hopefully they'll start coming around soon...mom cat looks like she's about ready to be done with them, between how skinny she's gotten and how chewed on she looks (OUCH)...I suspect she'll be weaning them really soon, and then they're going to have to come out to get food too.

Haha we had our cats trained good, one of our older cats had had so many litters after awhile we just started leaving the window to the garage open and she would hop in the basket we set out for her and have her kittens there. The others always had them in shed out back.

Can you do a good kitten imitation? I used to do it well enough that I could get mommy cats to lead me to the babies. You have to make it sound like a distress call and do it slightly turned away from her so she doesn't figure out you're trying to trick her.

I think Zz called this one right. I don't think I could do a very good kitten in distress imitation. This is the one that always has the prettiest little kittens too, and from the amount of milk the momma is producing (and how skinny she's getting), we think it's a pretty large litter, but it's also her last. We have a new vet, and momma cat is at the top of the spay/neuter list as soon as the kittens are weaned (I suppose we might have to come up with a new name for her once she can't be a momma cat anymore ). :uhh: The father got fixed last week, so maybe he can do a good distress call.
