What is meant by "photopeaking" a scintillator detector?
maybe when photons deposit their whole energy in the detector (are absorbed)?
It has something to do with calibration of a scintillator.
probably, since you can use the peaks of let's say known elements to calibrate the detector response?
So, it is when you check the machine against a known source?
check eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamma_spectroscopy#Sodium_iodide-based_detectors
You are using the known peaks for calibration sometimes... [if not always]
Thank you for helping me
