Hi I am studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Imperial College and I love physics, however i also like EEE and dont want to change now. Is it possible to do reasearch in Modern Physics after a Masters Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering???

Not likely. You might be able to work on the equipment (i.e. actually making the apparatus) that will be used to do experiments, but you likely won't be doing the actual research.

No, a EE curriculum will not prepare you at all to study physics at a graduate level.
