Plasmon Physics

    hi everyone,
    i am doing a research on plasmonics and surface plasmonic effects in heating nano materials using em waves.... can you suggest me any resources otherthan wikipedia where i can get an introduction to all this...please suggest me a source which is simple to understand...
    also is this surface plasmonic effect confined to metal/dielectric interface alone? can this effect be used in semiconductor/vaccum interface?
    please help

    These papers are most likely not the best ones for you but it is a start. They are just what I had lying around. I would suggest doing a google scholar search using any of the following key words: surface, plasmon, heating, semiconductor, review

    I am pretty sure they only occur at a dielectric/metal boundary but you should not take my word for it. After a quick search on google scholar it appears that this effect does occur at semiconductor/vacuum interfaces.
