(whatever that may be, I'm still a bit mystified about what exactly a spirit is) the amount of con-men out there trying to make moeny out of people by claiming they are psychic, or they have a sort of spiritul connection, is staggering, making it hard to test in any way.
I think that your spirit is every aspect of you that is intangible. Such as your good aspects, your bad, your love, these are all things that are not physical in any sense, but they affect the world through us in a very real way.
Moridin said:Oh. I was referring to the term "spiritual" without any connections to the supernatural, spirits, psychic or in any other sort of random pseduoscientific sense.
(Ivan Seeking, this was sort of what I meant; this is the sort of things that comes to most peoples minds when they hear the term "spirituality").
The word "spirit" can have multiple definitions depending on the context. In general, it can refer to a person's inner qualities, character, or personality. It can also refer to a supernatural being or force, such as a ghost or deity. Additionally, it can refer to a strong and positive attitude or energy.
There is no consensus on whether spirit and soul are interchangeable terms. Some people may use them interchangeably, while others may view them as distinct concepts. In general, spirit is associated with energy and vitality, while soul is associated with the essence of a person or living being.
This is a topic of debate and varies depending on personal beliefs. Some people believe that all living beings possess spirits, while others may believe that only humans have spirits. In some cultures, animals are believed to have their own spirits that can communicate with humans.
Religion may have varying definitions of spirit depending on the specific belief system. In some religions, spirit may refer to the divine essence or life force within all living beings. In others, it may refer to a separate entity or deity. It is best to research the specific religion in question for a more detailed answer.
As a scientist, I cannot definitively answer this question as it is a matter of personal belief. Some people may argue that the existence of a spirit cannot be scientifically proven, while others may believe that it can through various experiments or experiences. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to determine their own beliefs about the existence of spirit.
