(c) The light refracted into the water in (b) is intercepted by the top flat surface of a block of glass (n = 1.6), which is immersed in the water. The light reflected from the glass back into the water is completely linearly polarized. What is the angle between the glass and water surface? (d) Plot both particular cases (b) and (c) together in a sketch of the plane of incidence showing the directions of the incident, reflected, and transmitted light beams, and also the polarization direction of the reflected light. Include in your sketch the arrangement ofthe glass block relative to the water surface. You need not consider any reflections at the bottom of the glass block.
