Possible printer project

So I have this old HP DeskJet 840C (model number C6414A) lying around. I decided today to take it apart and see what I could either 1.) salvage or 2.)turn into something new by possibly adding parts! Any ideas? It has no scanner, and as such cannot just turn it into a makeshift UV light set up for PCB creation. Here is the parts for it, http://www.partshere.com/hppartslist/hpparts.asp?part=C6414A
