Power calculation

  1. Jan 28, 2008 #1
I have a force of 1017560 newtons which moves
a distance of 1.505 metres in 0.5 seconds.

I calculate the power required to be 3063 kW.

    Can anyone confirm this?

Assuming that both the force and velocity is constant, yes you are correct.
