  1. Nov 29, 2009 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    A car with a mass of 1.63 × 10^3 kg starts from rest and accelerates to a speed of 16.0 m/s in 14.1 s. Assume that the force of resistance remains constant at 472.2 N during this time.
    What is the average power developed by the car’s engine?

    m:1630kg a:16 m/s t:14.1 s Ff: 472.2 N

    2. Relevant equations

    P = F (d / Δt)

    3. The attempt at a solution

    F=mg+Ff
    F=1630(9.81)+472.2
    F=16462.5
    dont know if thats right so far and im not sure what to do next
    thnaks.
