My smartphone seems to have a very weird problem, when ever the battery drops below 35%-30% it "loses" the sim card so I can't make or receive calls?
The fix is to first recharge it fully and then turn it off and switch it back on

It is a Samsung A12
Is this a known problem for A12s? Or perhaps it is a problem with sim card which I transfer from my old smartphone and the sim card is 7 years old (A12 is 1 year old).

Have you tried just restarting the phone instead of charging it first?

You may do better on Samsung forums. It sounds like it could be the phone or the SIM.

One way to test is to insert a different SIM. Do you have a family member or friend who would let you try their SIM for 5 minutes?

Nope I don't have access to another SIM card.

Have you tried throwing it against a stone or marble wall and stomping on it with Tap Dance Shoes? This will do a factory reset keeping data intact. Samsung alternatives say you can also drop it from a building of at least 10 stories, and then you won't have to dance on it.

If it does not look like the example below, you did it wrong. You can thank me later.
