Proof that function exists

  1. Jan 9, 2012 #1
    [itex]f(x,y,z)[/itex] is function that:
    [itex]
    x^{q-1}\frac{\partial f}{\partial x}=
    y^{q-1}\frac{\partial f}{\partial y}=
    z^{q-1}\frac{\partial f}{\partial z}
    [/itex].

    How to prove that exists function [itex]g[/itex]:
    [itex]f(x,y,z)=g(x^q+y^q+z^q)[/itex]

    Have you tried doing the differentiation?
