Proportionality - Graph, Help Please?

  1. Oct 18, 2009 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
In the following table of results, determine the relationship between F and r, using graphical techniques.

    r : 1 , 1.2 ,1.8 , 2.4 , 3.0
    F : 10 , 6.9 , 3.1 , 1.7 , 1.1

    2. Relevant equations

    y is proportional to 1/xn

    3. The attempt at a solution

I graphed the data, using r as the independent value (x axis) and F being the dependent and i got a inverse looking graph.

im not sure by what it means, "determine the relationship", any help would be great. thanks
