Question on Aerofoil and winglets profile

In summary, the Boeing 737 and 767 airliners can use both normal winglets and raked wingtips, and the wings and winglets have specific measurements such as chord length and camber that vary by model.

Hi guys, i am currently doing a project on aerofoils and for those who are familiar to the commercial aircrafts, my first question is that are there any commercial airliners aerofoil which are compatible with both normal winglets and raked wingtips? I know that boeing 737 and 767's aerofoil can use either the 'blended' winglet or raked wingtips, but is there one that is compatible with 'normal' winglets and raked wingtips.

And does anyone have an idea as to how the actual profile of the wings and winglets looks like for a 737s or 767s (eg: chord length, camber etc...)?

Thank you for all your help guys!

Yes, the Boeing 737 and 767 airliners aerofoil can be fitted with both normal winglets and raked wingtips. The actual profile of the wings and winglets will depend on the model of the aircraft, but in general, the wings will have a symmetrical aerofoil shape with a chord length of around 2m and a positive camber or curvature. The winglets will typically be trapezoidal in shape and have a chord length of around 1m.

What is an aerofoil?

An aerofoil is a curved surface, typically resembling a cross-section of an airplane wing, that is designed to generate lift as air flows over it.

How does an aerofoil work?

An aerofoil works by creating a difference in air pressure between the upper and lower surfaces, with lower pressure on the upper surface and higher pressure on the lower surface. This creates an upward force, or lift, which allows an object to stay in the air.

What are winglets?

Winglets are small, curved structures that are often attached to the ends of airplane wings. They help to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency by reducing the formation of vortices at the wingtips.

What is the purpose of winglets?

The purpose of winglets is to improve the aerodynamic performance of an aircraft. By reducing drag, they increase fuel efficiency and allow the aircraft to fly at higher speeds and altitudes.

How do winglets affect the performance of an aircraft?

Winglets can improve the performance of an aircraft by reducing drag, increasing lift, and improving fuel efficiency. They also help to reduce the formation of vortices, which can improve stability and control of the aircraft.
