Questions about the universe I need help resolving.

  1. Sep 7, 2014 #1
I originally posted a thread regarding de-sitter spaces, Poincare recurrence theorem, and statistics. My main question I want to ask is whether there is a nonzero probability that a life form identical to me will "reemerge" at a later date far in the future. Since our consciousness is a secondary characteristics of brain chemistry and neuron arrangement. Does this mean that I will be "reborn" far in the future??

Only in some universe models. The answer is yes if eternal inflation is true, for example. Basically, in Eternal inflation, because it spans an infinity of "universes", every specific universe is replayed an infinite number of times.

But it depends upon the model.
