Medical Questions about thinking

    Questions about "thinking"...

How can you hear yourself think? I mean, I hear so many people say "it's so loud that I can't hear myself think". I don't think you can hear yourself think because you're not making any noise.....right? Or am I just dumb?

Also, sometimes, when I think about confusing things, I don't think them in words or pictures. For example, if you think of a cow right now, you might see a picture of a cow in your mind, or you might see or say the word "cow" in your mind. But when I think of confusing things that can't be pictured or explained in words, I think of them in another way, and I don't know what that way is called. Does anyone know what I mean?
