RC Circuit

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    Calculate the current in the battery as a function of time for the circuit shown if the switch completing the circuit is closed at time t=0.

    Kirchhoff's Rules
    Q=CE(1-e^(-t/RC))
    I=dQ/dt
    3. The attempt at a solution
    I know that in a simple circuit, I=dQ/dT=(E/R)*(e^-t/RC), but I have no idea how to begin this problem.

    That should be the current through R1 and C. Add to that the current through R2 and you've got it!
