RC Helicopter Flight Physics

  1. Jul 20, 2011 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

I am doing an EEI relating to how the ground effect influences an RC helicopter's thrust.

    2. Relevant equations
Are there any equations for converting the frequency of a helicopter's rotor blades to the power used? or alternatively is there another way to calculate the thrust generated by a helicopter at a given point?

    3. The attempt at a solution
I am looking at measuring the frequency of the rotor at different heights above the ground with a stroboscrope. However, the only equations I have found use power not frequency to calculate the thrust of the helicopter.
