Reactive power losses in induction motor

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    One of the handy devices I've used for dealing with the equivalent circuit of an induction motor is a power flow diagram like the one here

    I was wondering if anyone has come across a similar diagram for the reactive power losses?


    2. Relevant equations

    Assuming an equivalent circuit such as http://homepages.engineering.auckland.ac.nz/~kacprzak/Image56.gif [Broken]. There will be reactive power losses due to the current passing through X1, X2 and Xm.

    3. The attempt at a solution

    I've drawn a first draft but don't have a scanner. I have:

    Qin = sqrt 3 * VL * IL * sin theta
    Losses are stator inductive losses, core inductive losses, rotor inductive losses.

    I'm not sure though a) are there any other reactive power losses. b) what is the Qout, if any?
