    say it says Al2S3(numbers are subscripts) is that saying you have 3 moles of sulfur?

    It means molecule of Al2S3 contains 2 atoms of Al and three atoms of S. It also means 1 mole of molecules of Al2S3 contain 2 moles of Al atoms and three moles of S atoms.
