    Support local "resource recovery" plants. WHen this plastic stuff is burnt correctly, there is very little pollution. Our plastic bags should be at least used to generate electricity.

    It seems China is going to split alongs its seams.

    This item is a few years old but, one uk site IMPORTED 19 million bottles from
    Belgium and Holland to burn in the UK

    Is it me that is crazy thinking this is stupidity to Nth degree??

    Which thinking is crazy? THere's no reason for a properly designed incinerator/generator to release significant pollutants. Much less toxins are spewed into the air compared to burning coal, by a long way.

    The crazy thinking is the transport of waste around the world, ok container ships carry huge loads ,but thoughs loads have to be gathered by smaller vehicles, and why the heck should the UK import waste to burn, and on the other hand export waste to burn.
