Homework Help: Research Project (Heinrich Hertz)

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

I'm taking first quarter calc-based physics and as the quarter is coming to a close, the students are required to submit a research report that involves an experiment of their choosing.

My choice was to recreate the http://www.juliantrubin.com/bigten/hertzexperiment.html" [Broken] in which he proved a current spark emits electromagnetic radiation.

I've been searching for information as to how I can recreate this on my own. All I can find are basic schematics, but no specifics such as how many wraps on the induction coil I will need. http://people.seas.harvard.edu/~jones/cscie129/nu_lectures/lecture6/hertz/Hertz_exp_2.gif" [Broken]

This is my first physics class so my resource pool is almost non-existent. :frown:

    Any ideas/help?
